PAPJA 2015

Hello there! I'e been really busy this week and last week so it's just now that I'm writing a new post, I'll talk about an event I attended made for Psychology students. I hope you find something interesting here, since it's too Psych-ish(if this is a word). Haha!

PAPJA or Psychological Association of the Philippines Junior Affiliates 28th Annual Convention was held at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. It was really a blast with almost 5000 Psychology students all over the country came to attend this event. This year's theme, "Psychology and Asian Societies in the Midst of Change" talks about the development in Psychology through ASEAN 2015 which encourages us to collaborate with fellow Asian countries.

These are groufies, of course. It's really fun to have Psychology major friends! The first day of this convention was full of talks and seminars about Psychology in our country (in the morning) and Quiz Bee competition and TranscenDANCE competition (in the afternoon). Congratulations to UST for winning both of the contests! They have a bunch of smart and talented students. You could really learn a lot from this conventions since the speakers are also full of knowledge and passion for Psych.

On the second day, you will have to choose your workshops (choosing of workshops is done on the first day) that tackles the different fields in Psychology. What I really like about it is that they have too many, more than a hundred I guess! It's really hard to choose since I like five of those workshops  and how I wish I have different bodies so I could attend all of those. You only have to choose one. They are my classmates who joined me in the Art Therapy workshop.

This is Ms. Patti Lorenzo from Ateneo de Manila University. She's really nice and cool! She even asked us to take selfies with her. Ms. Patti was our speaker for the workshop I choose which is entitled, "Draw it out: Artful Ways to Express the Self". We really learned a lot from her on how you could use Art Therapy in Psychology. We spent most of the time of the workshop in creating art and images and having us experience the Art Therapy in which you can know yourself better.

This is one of my works using both of my hands in a duplicate method (both hands drawing in the same direction).

And of course, how could I forget fashion? I still couldn't get over with collars. Maybe I had the syndrome for wearing collars almost everyday. Haha, not everyday.

This shots were taken at FEU Morayta, where the workshops on the second day was held.

Shirt from Artwork PH, Pants from Hongkong and Collared top and shoes from Japan.

The PAPJA Convention was held every January. The fee was P700 for the two-day event, and here are the kits and manuals included. I hope to meet other Psychology students across the country next year! See you there :)
