DIY: COFFEE-COCOA MASK

This is my first post about DIYs! I'm forever hooked on do-it-yourself crafts and beauty stuffs. I suggest you take time reading at Pinterest if you would want to get ideas and inspirations. They have lots! From fashion to photography to crafts and make up tutorials! You could follow me and my boards here. You will completely know me just by looking at the things I pinned. Haha!

So here are the ingredients in our "DIY: Coffee-Cocoa Mask"

  • 4 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp of finely ground coffee beans
  • 2 tsp. of olive oil
  • 2 tsp. of honey
So let's start!

1. Mix the coffee and cocoa powder. In my case, I grind the coffee (bits?) with the spoon and mix it.

2. Then add the olive oil, mix it until it's quite sticky. Use lemon juice if you have oily skin because olive oil will just add up more oil on your face, of course.

3. Stir in the honey until it is almost a smooth paste. It gets very sticky when you add this up.
4. Wash and pat dry your face before applying it, then let it dry for about 15-20 minutes.
5. Use a washcloth to loosen the mask and then rinse it with warm water.

I don't feel like posting a selfie with a face mask, haha! But I actually tried it, you can also use dairy products such as milk and yogurt instead of olive oil and honey. So what are the benefits of this DIY Coffee-Cocoa Mask?

Decreases the puffiness in your eye area, and brighten skin. It also tightens pores. It feels so refreshing!

What do you think about this DIY? Let me know if you tried it! :)

xx
